Toronto lawyer Angela Chaisson is thrilled to be invited to give the annual Keshen Lecture to the Saskatchewan Crown Attorneys. Her lecture, entitled “Officers of the Court: How to be a lawyer in 2020” focused on ethical lawyering in the era of #metoo, in a climate that takes seriously issues of sexual and gender harassment. Angela discussed the issues of sexism and racism in the legal profession, with studies, anecdotes and concrete numbers, and ended with a collective call for all actors in the justice system to commit to a more inclusive and diverse profession. She delivered the lecture in Regina, to civil and criminal Crown Attorneys from across Saskatchewan. Angela is always delighted to connect with colleagues from across Canada to discuss these important issues facing the legal profession.
